HI, I was trying to change the asset category in oracle 12i for 4000 thounand but the probledm here is the assets are not in proper ascending order so can any provide solution for the mass the reclassification of assets

What I understood out of 4000 Assets you want to Reclass few assets to a new category. And all those asset numbers (whose category needs to be changed) are not in a series…. Soln : For mass reclassification asset number is not the only field used for searching assets. You can use other fields like expense account/location/employee/asset key. If no unique combination exists with above parameters for querying all assets then you have to reclassify all the assets one by one.
